Soup
Guess what Room 9&10 have been doing for the last 6 weeks? Making soup, delicious, yummy hot soup, it has been a blast!
We have been making it from scratch with the ingredients that the students have brought. Such as potato, carrot, pumpkin, parsnip, onion, garlic and tomato. Some of the kinds of soup we have made are pumpkin, vegetable and noodle. We have had a great time grating, stirring and cutting the vegetables.
I love making soup it is easy, quick and fun at the same time

Giraffes At The Zoo
We ambled out of the class room to the giraffe enclosure . The giraffe enclosure was located around the walkway. When we perched on the platform, a zoo keeper named Larry spoke to us about giraffes. Larry told us that giraffes fight for leadership and that they use their bumps on their foreheads to fight against other giraffes. Larry also gave us some very interesting information on giraffes' tongues. You would never imagine that a giraffe has a one metre stretched out tongue, though only 30cm of it shows. Did you know that giraffes have black and blue tongues? The colour protects them from getting sun burnt on their tongues. After Larry's amazing information, we got to feed the giraffes. That naughty 4 1/2 metre tall giraffe nearly used me as his dinner! I loved those giraffes. They were so cute and I would love to take one home.
Seasons
Hey! Guess what? My favourite season is Autumn. What's your favourite season?
Do you know why we have these amazing seasons? It's because the world is on a tilt so the sun doesn't always shine on the equator.
I'm happy that there are 3 months in each season so I can enjoy them all.

Learning to blog
On Tuesday David K came to show us how to blog. He showed us how to make a post and add pictures. He also gave us two rules. Rule 1- Students don't publish. Only teachers can publish. Rule 2 -We don't need to take pictures of ourselves as our parents know what we look like. We only write our name if it was us who posted the blog.
